At the core of the GRIDLIFE track experience is our grassroots HPDE + Track Day. The GRIDLIFE team has been building some of the best track days anywhere for well over a decade. Our events bring experts and beginners together in a casual, ego free environment to share experience, knowledge and most of all, the love of cars and motorsport.

If you have ever thought about getting on track, HPDE is a good place to start. Our beginner program includes instructor oversight + classroom sessions at all tracks, plus our pricing is some of the most competitive in the industry.

Alpine Horizon will feature a full Track Day experience with Beginner - Advance HPDE throughout the weekend

  • Novice HPDE at festival will feature a 2-day immersion program designed for drivers with one or more track days and will feature classroom and on track sessions as well as ride alongs in instructor and advanced groups. Novice HPDE will take place on Saturday and Sunday during the festival.

  • Intermediate HPDE will feature multiple sessions Friday - Sunday. Being fast at on ramps does not make you an intermediate driver. Intermediate is for drivers with 5 or more full track weekends with GRIDLIFE or another reputable Track Organization Auto Interests SCCA etc.

  • Advanced HPDE The advanced group is for expert drivers with multiple years of track experience. The advanced group has open passing on all straights (with point by) and is the perfect place to practice advanced techniques of driving at speed.

TRACK BATTLE TIME ATTACK

The biggest Time Attack event in North America.

#GRIDLIFE TrackBattle is our multi-event time attack series. TrackBattle is not wheel-to-wheel racing, it is a competition against the clock to see what cars and what teams are fastest over the course of a weekend.  Over the past half decade #GRIDLIFE have become known for Time Attack, featuring the fastest builds and the largest fields anywhere in North America. This year will be no exception with over 100 cars competing across 7 classes the competition will be fierce and the records will be short lived.

TIME ATTACK APPLICATION PROCESS

All drivers will need a #GRIDLIFE Competition license to compete in time attack ($40 for 2 years)

  • You do not need to be pre licensed to register for #GRIDLIFE Time Attack.

  • Those that already hold a TT or Comp License from SCCA or other sanctioning body will be automatically approved for a GL Comp license.

  • Drivers new to #GRIDLIFE and Time Attack will need to go through a competition evaluation during their first event.

GLTC GRIDLIFE Touring Cup

Wheel to Wheel done GRIDLIFE Style

The most exciting addition to the GRIDLIFE ecosystem GRIDLIFE Touring Cup heads full force into Alpine Horizon Festival. GLTC is the GRIDLIFE take on Wheel to Wheel, a single class series with easy to follow simple rules that make for incredibly diverse fields and exciting action throughout the pack.

  • GLTC will run 3 Days Thurs - Saturday at #GRIDLIFE Midwest with 4 Races throughout the weekend along with Practice and Qualifying.

  • GLTC Drivers will need to obtain for a #GRIDLIFE Competition license prior to competing ($40 for 2 years)

    • You do not need to be pre licensed to register for GLTC.

    • Those that already hold a Comp License from SCCA or other sanctioning body will be automatically approved for a GLTC license.

    • Drivers new to #GRIDLIFE and W2W will need to go through a competition evaluation during their first event.

GRIDLIFE Drift

Full Send / Fun First!

GRIDLIFE brings drifting out of the parking lots and on to the big tracks. Putting drivers on the same courses as the Road racers offering a unique opportunity for high speed driving and exciting 1st's in the drift community.

Our drift program is built as an exhibition event, designed for grassroots drivers, pros and teams to show off and have fun in front of the thousands of people that line the track at #GRIDLIFE all weekend. Because the venues are large and high speed road courses, GRIDLIFE Drift is open to advanced drivers only. Drifting spots are available only by invite or application.

RALLYREADY X GRIDLIFE RALLYSPRINT

RALLYSPRINT BRACKET COMPETITION

Introducing the RallySprint Brackets! A 2 Day High speed Bracket elimination on the full 2 mile high speed Rally Course. Competitors are allowed on an approval basis. Vehicle safety requirements must be met in order to be considered for approval (that means no refunds if it doesn't pass tech!).

All competition cars MUST feature a minimum 6 point rollbar of adequate construction quality, per Gridlife GTCR - NO bolt in or partial cages.  Drivers must have at minimum a 5 point harness, SFI accepted head and neck restraint and hard mounted handheld fire extinguisher with current certification. Full fire suppression system recommended. SA2010 or newer helmet must be worn by driver. Passengers allowed during practice but not qualifying or competition.

COMPETITION SCHEDULE

FRIDAY: Open Practice
SATURDAY: Qualifying and Brackets
SUNDAY: Finals

COMPETITION FORMAT

All competitors in all classes will get one opportunity to set a qualifying time.  Qualifying times will establish the bracket order, using standard bracket layout. Times will be used to determine winners in each battle.  Winner in a given bracket will “move on” to the next bracket.  A winner will be determined after all brackets have been completed. 

ELIGIBLE VEHICLES & CLASSING

Rally Ready GRIDLIFE RallySprints are open to all cars that can pass HPDE tech per GRIDLIFE GTCR rules. Additionally Caged SXS Vehicles are also permitted. Rally Ready GRIDLIFE RallySprints will be divided into two classes for competition.

  1. 2WD = Cars driven by two wheels (2 front, or 2 rear only).  Powerplants and drivetrain are open to modification/engine swaps but original layout and configuration of the car, drivetrain wise, must remain as factory supplied (shipped as a 2wd NA,  two wheel drive, original configuration must remain, etc).  

  2. 4WD = Cars Driven by all wheels (4 max). Powerplants and drivetrain are open to modification/engine swaps, but original layobaseut and configuration of the car, drivetrain wise, must remain as factory supplied (shipped as a 4wd, 4/all wheel drive, etc, original configuration must remain, etc).  

Entry into the RallySprint brackets includes your 3 Day ticket to the Alpine Horizon Festival along with a paddock space adjacent to the rally course. Drivers may add up to two crew passes when securing their ticket. Camping is not included and requires an additional pass.
